Fishery Rules

  • All anglers and visitors please report to the clubhouse prior to fishing

  • Fishery feed pellets only to be used

  • All anglers must have their own suitable landing Net Poles (Nets supplied)

  • Unhooking mats are compulsory on House Pool (supplied by the fishery)

  • Barbless hooks only

  • Strictly no landing nets/keep nets and weigh slings to enter the fishery

  • Strictly no rods to be left unattended or in the care of another angler

  • Maximum of 1 rod per angler on all Lakes and Pools (two rods are allowed on the House Pool only)

  • No bait boats, no cat/dog food or nuts to be used

  • All fish to be netted and returned using a net

  • No fixed rigs or elasticated method feeders to be used

  • Fishing only from designated Fishing Pegs

  • All fish to be returned to the swim where they were caught

  • Do not hold fish with a cloth or stand up and walk whilst holding fish

  • No fires, BBQ`s or hot objects to be lit or placed on grass

  • All litter to be taken with you when you leave – a bin is available in the car park

  • Each angler may bring 1 non-fishing guest, no dogs allowed

  • No use of luncheon meat/pepperoni or any other type of meat

  • Maximum of 2 kilos pellet/ground bait to be used

  • No lead core leaders to be used

  • No fishing poles to be used on House Pool

  • No floating baits permitted (Horseshoe Lake only)

  • No particles to be used

  • Each angler must have their own water bucket to keep fish hydrated (House Pool)

  • All anglers fishing on House Pool MUST carry an adequate carp care kit

Alvechurch Fisheries Limited cannot accept any responsibility for injury, damage or theft to vehicles or equipment

The management reserve the right to refuse admission and amend the rules at anytime

Abusive behaviour and swearing will NOT be tolerated

Match Rules

  • Fishery keep nets and landing net ONLY to be used

  • Fishery own feed pellets ONLY to be used

  • No meat to be used

  • A maximum of 2 kilo of pellet/ground bait and 3 pints of maggots ONLY to be used (per angler)

  • No fixed Rigs of any type or elasticated feeders

  • Maximum of 60lb is permitted in each keep net (Horseshoe Lake) and 50lb limit (Canal Lake)

  • No floating baits allowed

  • Two keep nets to be used by each angler ALL small fish in one net and only carp in other net

  • No cupping of bait is permitted whilst fishing with a rod

  • All fish to be netted and no swinging of fish is permitted

PLEASE NOTE

Anyone not adhering to the match rules will NOT be weighed in

08.00 to dusk

MARCH 2nd to NOVEMBER 29th
07.30 to dusk

(During June, July and August the fishery closes at 8.30pm)
